Oceans

I stared for a minute, I watched you drive
A bottle to my lips, my tie untied.
I took a moment to picture this moment
I’ll try to remember at least I’ll try to recall
We stepped out the restaurant, we caught the breeze
The nights getting colder, the winds growing teeth
Four in a taxi, my lips to a bottle
I’ll try to remember at least I’ll try to recall
I walked outside
The sun hurt my eyes
I used to live in a city, the nights were cold
I lived by the ocean, i fell love with the coast
I had a pile of pictures I’ll never see again
I saw Laura at her window, waiting up for him
We poured through the door, the parties out back
A bottle in my left hand, your hand in my right.
You found a friend, I went and lay outside
Some kids were doing bulbs, staring at the sky.
I walked outside and started up your engine.
The sun hurt my eyes, all I could feel was the ocean.
I walked outside, all I saw was the ocean.

See Your Point
03:47

I said along time ago, that i didn't mean to write it down
It reminds me of home town, it reminds me of having you here and around.
Now i know i don't say it all the time, you're singled out.
Now i know i don't say it all the time, you're singled out.
You're singled out and only you.
I got you singled out and only you.
We're creative all day Sunday, i didn't mean to spell that out.
It reminds me of my home town, not all of it, just the times you're around.
Now i know i don't say it all the time, you're singled out.
Now i know i don't say it all the time, you're singled out.
You're singled out and only you.
I got you singled out and only you.
I said that i could see your point, i said that i could see it.
(well i said, don't call me again i don't want to go home)
I said that i could see your point, i said that i could see it.

Elevator

I took the elevator, to the sixth and final ward.
Up another six stories, and i walked on down the hall.
Walked out my front door, carried my body across the lawn.
Stood at the front gate, the one stopped at on our walks home.
I took a 5 speed transit, to the alley behind your room
Stood in the spot light
We stand and sweat and i wrote these songs for you.
You and me
We bridge borders, we light matches.
you and me
We bridge borders, we light matches.
You and me
Oh don't stop talking me down
You and me
You and me
We bridge borders, we light matches.
you and me
We bridge borders, we light matches.
